Responsible Gaming Policy

Responsible gambling is easier to maintain when clear rules are set before play begins. Pin-Up encourages players to use gambling services only as entertainment and to keep their activity within personal, financial, and emotional limits.

This checklist is designed to help players review their gambling habits, use available safety tools, understand when a break may be needed, and find support if gambling begins to cause harm.

Before You Start Gambling

Before placing bets or making deposits, take a moment to check whether gambling is suitable for your current situation.

Ask yourself:

  • Can I afford to spend this money on entertainment?
  • Have I already decided how much I am willing to deposit?
  • Have I set a time limit for this session?
  • Am I gambling for fun, not because I need money?
  • Am I calm, focused, and able to make clear decisions?
  • Am I prepared to stop if I lose?

Gambling should not be used to pay bills, cover debts, recover previous losses, or solve financial problems. It should also not be used as a response to stress, depression, pressure, boredom, or emotional discomfort.

If you cannot answer these questions confidently, it may be better to delay gambling or use a responsible gaming tool.

Warning Signs to Take Seriously

Gambling-related problems may develop gradually. A player may first spend slightly more than planned, then begin to extend sessions, increase deposits, hide gambling activity, or return to gambling in an attempt to recover losses.

You should pause and review your gambling behavior if:

  • gambling takes more time or money than planned;
  • you feel guilty, anxious, or remorseful after gambling;
  • you feel annoyed when other people criticize your gambling habits;
  • you try to win back lost money by gambling again;
  • gambling affects your finances, relationships, work, study, or daily responsibilities;
  • you feel unable to stop even when you want to.

If gambling begins to feel difficult to control, using account restrictions or seeking support may help reduce further harm.

Self-Assessment Questions

If you are worried that gambling has had a negative impact on your life, ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Have you ever felt that you should cut down on gambling?
  2. Have people annoyed you by criticizing your gambling habits?
  3. Have you ever felt guilty about gambling?
  4. Have you ever felt remorse after gambling?
  5. Have you ever gambled again to steady your nerves or recover gambling losses?

You can also complete the Gamblers Anonymous questionnaire here: https://gamblersanonymous.org/20-questions/

The answers may help you understand the level of possible risk:

  • 0 “Yes” answers: low risk for gambling problems.
  • 1 “Yes” answer: moderate risk; further assessment may be needed.
  • 2 or more “Yes” answers: high risk; further evaluation and intervention are strongly recommended.

This self-assessment does not replace professional advice. It is intended to help players decide whether they should use responsible gaming tools or contact a support organization.

Checklist of Account Safety Tools

Players can use several tools to manage gambling activity. These tools are available to help you control deposits, take temporary breaks, or block access to gambling for a longer period.

Deposit Limits

Use deposit limits if you want to control how much money you add to your account.

You can set:

  • daily deposit limits;
  • weekly deposit limits;
  • monthly deposit limits.

A deposit limit should match your personal budget. Gambling should only involve money that can be spent on entertainment without affecting rent, bills, debts, savings, food, family responsibilities, or other essential expenses.

If you lower your deposit limit, the change takes effect immediately. If you increase your deposit limit, the higher limit will only apply after a 24-hour waiting period. This delay is intended to help prevent impulsive decisions and give you time to consider whether the increase is appropriate.

Cooling-Off Periods

Use a cooling-off period if you need a temporary break from gambling.

During a cooling-off period, you will not be able to place bets or make deposits.

Available cooling-off periods are:

  • 24 hours;
  • 7 days;
  • 1 month;
  • 3 months.

You can activate a cooling-off period directly in your account settings. Once activated, the restriction is applied automatically and immediately. A cooling-off period cannot be ended early. You must wait until the selected period has finished. After it ends, you may continue using your account without making an additional request.

Self-Exclusion

Use self-exclusion if you need a longer or permanent break from gambling.

Available self-exclusion periods are:

  • 1 year;
  • 3 years;
  • 5 years;
  • 10 years;
  • lifetime self-exclusion.

Self-exclusion can be activated through your account settings or by contacting:

[email protected]

Once self-exclusion is activated, your account will be locked for the full selected period. You will not be able to access your account, place bets, make deposits, or participate in gambling activities. You will also stop receiving promotional emails and notifications.

Self-exclusion cannot be cancelled before the selected period ends. Lifetime self-exclusion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

If a temporary self-exclusion period ends and you want to restore your account, you must submit a written request. Before reactivation, you will be reminded about responsible gaming tools and encouraged to complete a self-assessment questionnaire.

Vulnerable Player Protection Checklist

Some players may need additional protection because gambling can create a higher risk of harm for them.

A vulnerable player may be someone who:

  • is under 18 years old;
  • feels unable to control gambling behavior;
  • has requested to stop gambling or has previously been restricted from playing;
  • is facing serious financial difficulties, bankruptcy, or similar hardship.

If any of these situations apply to you, contact:

[email protected]

Documents or proof may be requested before certain protective actions are taken. All requests will be handled with care and respect. Monitoring tools may also be used to identify signs that a player could be struggling with gambling behavior. If possible indicators of harm are noticed, the player may be contacted and informed about available responsible gaming options.

We continue to improve the ways we identify and protect vulnerable players.

Age Protection Checklist

Gambling services are strictly prohibited for individuals under the legal gambling age. Anyone under 18 is not allowed to register, access, or use the platform.

To support age restrictions:

  • users are informed during registration that gambling services are not available to underage individuals;
  • players must confirm their date of birth and legal age when creating an account;
  • proof of age may be requested from any registered user at any time;
  • accounts may be temporarily suspended until age verification documents are provided;
  • marketing and promotional activity is directed only at individuals of legal gambling age;
  • attempts to involve underage users are prohibited.

If it is confirmed that a user has violated the age restriction policy, the account may be frozen and any winnings may be forfeited. If anyone under 18 is found using the site, winnings will be forfeited. Funds may be frozen, deposits made by a minor may be returned, and information may be passed to the relevant institution where appropriate.

Internet Access Restrictions

Parents, guardians, and users who share devices with minors or excluded individuals may use filtering or blocking software to restrict access to gambling websites.

Examples include:

These tools may help reduce the risk of underage or unauthorized access to gambling content.

External Support Checklist

If gambling becomes difficult to control or causes financial, emotional, social, or personal harm, external support may be useful.

Organizations that provide confidential support include:

GambleAware offers confidential advice, support, and resources for individuals struggling with gambling addiction. Its work focuses on minimizing gambling-related harm through education, treatment, and support services.

GamCare provides counselling, advice, and practical help in addressing the social impact of gambling. Its website is www.gamcare.org.uk, and its confidential helpline is available at 0845 6000 133. Non-UK residents can contact GamCare for details on international support organizations.

Gamblers Anonymous is an international fellowship offering a 12-step program to help people overcome compulsive gambling. Meetings are available worldwide, and members provide mutual support.

Gambling Therapy provides support and counselling for anyone adversely affected by gambling. Its professionals are available both in Great Britain and internationally. The website is www.gamblingtherapy.org.

Seeking help early can reduce further harm and support recovery.

Responsible Gambling Habits to Follow

To keep gambling safer, follow these habits:

Set a deposit limit before you start. Decide how much money you can afford to spend and do not exceed that amount.

Do not chase losses. Trying to recover lost money can lead to higher risks and further harm.

Set a time limit. Decide how long you will play and stop when that time is reached.

Do not gamble when your judgment is affected. Avoid gambling when you are extremely stressed, depressed, under pressure, tired, or unable to concentrate. Do not gamble while under the influence of medication, drugs, or alcohol.

Take breaks. If you feel tired, distracted, frustrated, or unable to focus, stop playing and step away.

Use only one account. A single account makes it easier to monitor how much time and money you spend on gambling.
